4 Best Under The Radar Films To Watch This Summer

Watching movies is everyone’s pastime activity, and every year we are introduced to dozens of blockbusters that are supposed to be amazing and that are going to be seen by everyone. Even though these pieces are really fun to watch, they are not always as amazing as we want them to be. Sometimes, there are hidden gems that turn out to be much better than the largely advertised pieces. 1. Retaliation (2017)


Even though this film features some big names, it still went unnoticed when it came out four years ago. Orlando Bloom is the star of this masterpiece and here he shows off his raw acting skills, something you may have never seen before. It is a haunting story of a person who is forced to confront his childhood fears and trauma. It is a disturbing piece that you must watch if you are interested in an intense thriller.

2. The Lodge (2019)


If you are looking for a slow-burning thriller that touches base with some of the most interesting horrors, then you should give The Lodge a chance. This movie was overshadowed by blockbuster horrors that came out at the same time, and somehow it went under the radar. It is a story of a stepmother trapped in a house with her two stepchildren. Soon, they start experiencing visions and are faced with things out of this world.

3. Baseball, Dennis & the French (2011)


For those who are looking for a good documentary to watch this summer, this is the one for you. According to Esti Prager Miami, Baseball, Dennis & the French this piece features the life of Paul Croshaw, a liberal that turns into a conservative Christian. This is a real-life story that will keep you interested for the whole 90 minutes and it is definitely a must-see.

4. Guns Akimbo (2019)


This is another piece that features large names in the movie industry, but somehow, it went unnoticed. The star in this piece is Daniel Radcliffe and it features a fun and captivating action story of a person who uses his newfound skills to try and save the love of his life from kidnappers. It is different from anything you’ve seen before from Radcliffe, and it is even a psychedelic story at some moments.

If you are looking for something fresh, different, and definitely unique, you should give it a chance. Other pieces that you should watch if you have the time this summer include PG: Psycho Goreman, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Blow The Man Down, and The Surrogate.

Some of these pieces will make you laugh, others will make you cry, and there are also going to be those that will make you look behind your shoulder and flinch at every sudden noise.
